Introducing Deepgram’s API Playground: Effortlessly Experiment with Transcription and Language AI
Share

At Deepgram, we believe that to support the current AI revolution we must provide developers, AI engineers and data scientists with the right tools to build and discover the capabilities Deepgram has to offer. Our mission is to make it easier for you to test and validate your  ASR (Automated Speech Recognition) use cases.

We know getting started with a new API can be a little overwhelming. First you just want to get something working. Then you need to worry about learning which API features you need and how they work.

When you are evaluating Deepgram you probably have questions such as:

  • What’s the difference between each API feature and how does it impact my transcription output?

  • What API features do I need to use for my particular use case?

  • How long does a response take from the API?

  • What languages work with which Models?

  • Where can I find sample code to get starting quickly?

The more time you spend trying to figure out an API the less time you have to spend on your actual problem. Deepgram’s API Playground will help you answer these questions and more so you can know whether Deepgram meets, or in this case exceeds, your needs quickly.

Today we are announcing the launch of the Deepgram API Playground which will allow developers, AI engineers  and data scientists to quickly explore and test the Deepgram API in an isolated environment. All you need is a Deepgram account.

When you sign up to use Deepgram you’ll immediately get $200 in credit (up to 45,000 minutes), absolutely free. No credit card needed!  After you sign up you’ll  have all you need to begin testing the Deepgram API.

The API Playground provides:

  • Support for all Deepgram Languages Options

  • Support for all Deepgram Model Options: (Nova, Enhanced, Base & Whisper).

  • Deepgram API features such as: Diarization, Redaction, Summarization,  Entity & Topic Detection and more!

  • A JSON explorer and transcription view of the response.

  • Request code samples for cURL, node.js, python, and .Net
